A cohesive launch package
Lowering the barrier to branding
As a Senior Brand Designer on Shopify’s Growth team, I led the design of the Logomaker experience end-to-end. My focus was on creating a tool that felt intuitive, empowering, and visually credible. I established the content hierarchy, designed the modular UI patterns, and built a visual language that aligned with Shopify’s brand while giving Logomaker its own personality. My aim was to transform logo creation from an intimidating task into an achievable, confidence-building step.
An intuitive logo-building experience
The final product offered a simple, step-by-step flow where people could input their business details, explore visual styles, and instantly generate logo options. The interface was deliberately lightweight, with clear guidance and strong visuals to keep people moving forward. I also created supporting brand assets to showcase how generated logos could extend across touchpoints like business cards, packaging, and online storefronts—helping people imagine their business in the real world.
Empowering early-stage entrepreneurs
Shopify Logomaker launched as part of the broader suite of free business tools and quickly became a popular entry point for new merchants. By lowering the barrier to branding, it helped entrepreneurs build confidence and take the first step towards launching their business. The tool reinforced Shopify’s positioning as more than an ecommerce platform—showing that Shopify can help people start and grow their brand from day one.
